Video footage has surfaced showing that Donald Trump’s golf club Super Bowl watch party aired Bad Bunny’s halftime performance — despite the president previously signaling he wasn’t a fan.
On February 8, Super Bowl LX took place at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, with Puerto Rican star Bad Bunny (born Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio) headlining the halftime show. The performance marked a historic moment, as he became the first solo male Latin artist to lead the NFL’s halftime stage.
In the days leading up to the event, Trump made it clear he wasn’t enthusiastic about the lineup, which also included Green Day. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt even told reporters the president would “much prefer a Kid Rock performance over Bad Bunny.”
However, despite those remarks, a clip shared online appears to show Bad Bunny’s halftime show playing on large screens during a Super Bowl gathering at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida.

The video, posted on X, shows guests watching the broadcast while Trump himself is seen speaking with Senator Lindsey Graham in the background.
The post’s caption accused the event of hypocrisy, pointing out that the performance being screened was Bad Bunny’s — not Kid Rock’s.
While it’s unclear how closely Trump followed the performance, the broadcast was clearly visible at the venue. His reaction afterward suggests he did catch at least some of it. Posting on Truth Social, Trump criticized the halftime show, calling it “absolutely terrible” and “one of the worst ever,” adding that “nobody understands a word this guy is saying,” referencing the fact that the performance was delivered in Spanish.

He further described the show as lacking “standards of success, creativity, or excellence” and claimed it did not reflect what he views as American greatness.
Although alternative viewing options were reportedly available — including pro-Trump programming from Turning Point USA — the official halftime show still aired at his club’s event.
Whether the controversy reflects contradiction or simply preference is open to interpretation.
