Rapper had s.u.r.g.e.r.y to get gold chains implanted into his skull

Today, the majority of us live in communities that value free expression.

It may have taken a long time, but it appears like we are finally approaching a point where people may be who they want, wear what they want, and express themselves freely without fear of repercussions.

If you ask me, it’s something worth celebrating. Why shouldn’t people be able to make statements about how they dress? Why can’t they be creative with their physique, hair, and style?

Perhaps nowhere is this more obvious than in the higher echelons of the entertainment industry, where actors and music artists frequently establish trends for the people by pushing the boundaries of what’s thought ‘IN’ concerning fashion.

Celebrities have traditionally been at the forefront of what is considered innovative and stylish. Celebrities attempt to maintain their profile by creating discussions and attracting attention, as this is what makes them famous.

However, few have gone as far as YouTuber and rapper Dan Sur, who supposedly had gold chains surgically implanted into his head.

We get what you’re thinking: Who is Dan Sur? Why on earth would he have surgery to have gold chains dangling from his head? How come I haven’t heard about this before?

Thankfully, we have some answers for you.

Sur is an independent rapper and content creator who mostly works on social media, with around 8.1 million TikTok fans, 700,000 YouTube subscribers, and 2 million Facebook admirers.

The rapper’s eye-catching golden hair was created by implanting hooks in his skull and attaching golden chains to create the illusion of wearing chains as hair.

And it really is an illusion. Sur had the procedure done in 2021, claiming to his fans that he wanted to have a unique appearance.

“I have it as a hook that is implanted in my head, and that hook has hooks, and they are all hooked in my skull, under my skin,” the then-23-year-old said at the time. “This is my hair. Golden hair. The first rapper to have golden hair implanted in human history.”

Naturally, there are several concerns associated with such an appearance. One doctor expressed concern about the weight that the hooks were supporting, let alone the danger that the chains may become hooked on something and fracture Dan’s head when he pulled away.

Of course, there is the risk of infection. Dr. Frank Agullo, a plastic surgeon, told Yahoo! News: “Implants like this are not safe. They introduce an easy path for bacteria between the outside world and the internal body. In this case, the bone covers the brain.

In addition, I am concerned about the amount of weight these hooks are supporting. The weight or any accidental tug on a band of gold could cause the implant to dislodge and even fracture the skull.”
