Millions of people were told to prepare for the arrival of Hurricane Milton yesterday. However, we humans were not the only ones who needed to be weather aware. Our animal companions also had to change their plans. However, the zoo animals did not have to prepare alone. Instead, they received assistance in the form of caregivers who constantly had their back. This was absolutely true for the creatures at St. Augustine Alligator Farm Zoological Park.
To keep their animal friends safe, many of them were temporarily relocated indoors. This would keep them safe from the flooding. However, it appears that their alligators were perfectly well outside. In fact, one employee captured stunning footage during a rainy day yesterday. With the dreary weather, the alligators bellowing, and the enormous birds flying in the distance, it’s little surprise the man claims he’s “getting Jurassic Park” feelings!
