According to the Federation Cynologique Internationale, which organizes the Dog Dance World Championship, the dog dance routines are intended to demonstrate a variety of topics. Each dog handler is expected to establish a pattern that demonstrates the dog’s desire to cooperate and obey their commands.
These routines are put to music and reflect the handler’s artistic style! Whether it’s a delicate routine with dozens of exact techniques or a complex routine set to military-inspired music, as shown here, the possibilities are almost endless!
Every dog that makes it to the finals has talent, but Deril distinguishes himself quickly. It’s amazing how talented this hairy guy is!
After weaving among Lusy’s legs and exhibiting several of his iconic talents, the two embark on a serious routine that includes CPR, sit-ups, and spectacular jumps! They’ve been training on this routine for months, and Deril is eager to show the world what he’s capable of.
When Deril and Lusy finish their performance, the audience bursts in cheers, and the usually rigid judges smile! They’re clearly going to do quite well in the dog dancing world!
