The Truth About the Terminal Illness
A man went to the hospital to receive the results of his comprehensive health check-up.
The doctor looked at the stack of files, let out a massive sigh, and spoke in a very serious voice, “I am terribly sorry to inform you, but you have a very rare and incurable illness. You only have exactly 10 days left to live.”
Hearing this, the man completely broke down and burst into tears, “Oh my god! No way! What am I supposed to do now? Do you have any advice for me, Doctor?”
The doctor thought for a moment and said, “Go home immediately and marry a woman who is incredibly naggy, extremely stingy, and loves to control everything you do.”
The man wiped his tears and asked, completely bewildered, “Will doing that help extend my life by a few years, Doctor?”
The doctor shook his head and replied calmly, “No, it won’t extend it by a single day. But doing that will ensure that the remaining 10 days of your life will feel as long as… ten centuries!”
