She seemed like an ordinary mom sitting at the pool, but when she stood up, all heads turned

Some ladies are tall… and then there’s Caroline Arthur, a mother from Melbourne, Australia, who could practically break records with her long legs. Her own children have dubbed the former model a “human skyscraper” because of her height.

She stands 6 feet 2 inches tall and her legs measure 51 ½ inches in length, accounting for 69% of her body structure. Caroline spoke with Barcroft TV about her huge legs, and she said she might contact the Guinness Book of World Records to see if she could beat the record for the longest legs, which was most recently set in 2003 by a Russian woman with legs measuring 51.9 inches. The photo is below:

Caroline noted: “I believe that they are definitely the longest in Australia and, as far as I know, in America too.”

She added: “Because it’s so close I think it is worth contacting them and finding out exactly where they measure from and getting an official, accurate measurement done.”

Caroline’s size has naturally given her with a variety of obstacles, the most notable of which is finding clothes that fit, particularly trousers and slacks. She has to buy clothes based on their length rather than their waist size so that the material covers her legs. Her husband Cameron is nearly the same height as her, and their children are similarly tall, with son Cooper, 13, already at her height, and daughter Zoe, 15, standing 5-foot-9. Interestingly, Caroline’s mother is just 5 feet 3 inches tall.

Caroline confesses that her size made it tough for her as a child, as she was bullied and nicknamed “Caroline the Powerline.” She didn’t consider herself attractive, but at the age of 15, she discovered her legs, appearance, and height were incredible.

She explained: “I just wanted to be the same as everyone else. I started modeling when I was around 15 and that gave me confidence.”

Caroline added that sometimes her legs got her jobs and other times, it worked against her, explaining: “I was told that I’m too tall for Australian beauty standards and couldn’t model clothes because they just wouldn’t fit me. So as much as I did get work because of my long legs, I also got knocked back for the same reason.”

She noted that people staring at her long legs has been mostly a positive experience, sharing: “I just know by now that if I’m going out with people in the evening, I’m going to get a lot of attention so I am sort of used to it. I have had a few people say nasty things but mostly it’s great and people are really nice.”

Caroline has definitely become more comfortable with her long legs, noting: “I can honestly say now, as a 39-year-old woman, I’m the most secure in my own skin that I have ever been. I feel more beautiful than I ever have in my life.”

Her husband added: “Caroline and I are about the same height but when we stand next to each other, her hip is much higher than mine. Being married to her is definitely good for my posture because I have to stand up straight.”
