There’s nothing quite as awkward as a doctor’s receptionist who insists on asking why you’re there… with a waiting room full of strangers listening.
One morning, a 65-year-old gentleman walked up to the front desk.
The receptionist smiled politely.
“Good morning, sir. What are you here to see the doctor about?”
Without lowering his voice, the man announced,
“There’s something wrong with my pecker!”
The entire waiting room went silent.
The receptionist turned bright red.
She leaned forward and whispered,
“Sir! You can’t say things like that out loud!”
“Next time, just say it’s something innocent… like your ear… then explain the real problem privately to the doctor.”
The old man shrugged, nodded, and walked back outside.
A few minutes later, he returned.
The receptionist smiled proudly, convinced she’d taught him some manners.
“Yes, sir. What seems to be the problem today?”
The old man answered politely,
“There’s something wrong with my ear.”
The receptionist smiled.
“Much better. And what’s wrong with your ear?”
The old man leaned closer and replied,
“I can’t pee out of it.”
For a split second…
The room was silent.
Then the entire waiting room burst into laughter.
Moral of the story:
Never underestimate a senior citizen… they’ve had decades to perfect their comebacks. 😂
