Burned out by endless paperwork and malpractice lawsuits, a successful gynecologist decided to quit medicine and retrain as an auto mechanic. He enrolled in a technical college, attended every evening class, and studied diligently.
For his final practical exam, he had to completely disassemble and reassemble a car engine. He executed the task with absolute precision.
A week later, he received his results and was shocked to see a score of 150%. Fearing a clerical error, he called the instructor. “I’m incredibly grateful, but is this grade a mistake? How is 150% even possible?”
“It’s no mistake,” the instructor replied. “Taking the engine apart perfectly earned you 50%. Putting it back together flawlessly earned you another 50%.”
The instructor paused in sheer awe before adding:
“And I gave you a bonus 50% because you managed to do the entire job through the exhaust pipe!”
