A boy was playing ball and accidentally broke a window at a nearby house.
The homeowner rushed out, grabbed the ball, and shouted:
— “If you kids don’t fix my window, you’re not getting this ball back!”
A little while later, the boy knocked on the door and said:
— “My dad will come and fix it right away!”
Sure enough, a man soon arrived carrying a toolbox. Satisfied, the woman returned the ball to the boy.
After finishing the repair, the man said:
— “That’ll be $10.”
The woman looked surprised:
— “Wait… aren’t you the boy’s father?”
The man stared back, equally confused:
— “Wait… aren’t you his mother?”
