A man was walking along the beach, deep in prayer, when he said,
“Lord, please grant me one wish.”
A voice from heaven replied,
“You’ve been faithful. I’ll grant you one wish.”
The man said,
“Build me a bridge to Hawaii so I can drive there whenever I want.”
The Lord answered,
“That’s a huge request! Think about the engineering, the materials, and all those miles of ocean. I could do it… but ask for something a little easier.”
The man thought for a moment.
“Okay… then I want to understand women. I want to know what they’re thinking, what they’re feeling, why they say ‘nothing’ when something is clearly wrong… and how to make them truly happy.”
There was a long silence.
Then the Lord replied,
“So… about that bridge…”
“Would you like two lanes or four?”
