In today’s puzzle, we will put your logic to the ultimate test. While your task may sound simple, we can assure you that the majority of viewers can’t answer this puzzle correctly. Take your time, don’t rush, and think about your answer twice.
Your job is to figure out which of the water containers marked with letters A, B, C, and D will get full first if we begin supplying an infinite amount of water to container A.
Here are a few things you should be aware of. All of the pipes connecting different water tanks are fully open. None of them is blocked.
To crack this puzzle, it’s best if you try to imagine water running into tank A and take things step by step from there.
Clearly, tank A won’t get filled with water first because almost all of the liquid will pass into tank B right away. The same story goes for tank B, whereas the majority of the water will pass into tank C instantly.
This leaves us with tanks C and D. But which one will get full first?
After the water starts flowing into tank C, it will take some time for the water level to reach the top of the water inlet leading to tank D.
While tank C will be almost entirely full at that point, water will then continue to flow into tank D until it reaches the same level as in container C.
Once the water level in tank D is the same as in tank C, water will be evenly distributed throughout these two containers until they are both full.
Therefore, the correct answer is C and D. These two tanks will be filled with water at the same time!
